Total Mini Split
Wall-mount mini split on an OSB wall in a garage workshop

Garage mini splits · DFW

Cool your garage. Work in it all summer.

A Mitsubishi wall mount turns a 120°F garage into a workshop, gym or hangout you actually use, and heats it on the few cold mornings Texas gets.

Step one

Pick your garage size

Uninsulated garages need roughly a third more capacity. We confirm sizing, insulation and electrical at the site visit before you pay a deposit.

Built for

  • Workshops and hobby garages
  • Home gyms
  • Car collections and detail bays
  • Garage conversions

Workshop

Steady temperature and lower humidity protect tools, finishes and glue-ups. A wall mount above the bench keeps floor space clear.

Home gym

Size up for the heat you make. A gym needs more cooling per square foot than a parked-car garage.

Garage conversion

Turning the garage into living space? Multiple rooms may call for a multi-zone system or a ceiling cassette.

Questions we hear a lot

What size mini split do I need for a 2-car garage?

Most 2-car garages in DFW land between 12,000 and 18,000 BTU. Insulation is the swing factor: an insulated garage door and walls can drop you a size, while an uninsulated garage with west sun may need the larger unit.

Do I need to insulate my garage first?

You don't have to, but it pays off. Insulating the garage door and attic hatch lets a smaller, quieter unit hold temperature and lowers the running cost. We'll tell you at the site visit whether it changes the size we recommend.

Can a mini split heat my garage in winter too?

Yes. Every Mitsubishi system we install is a heat pump, so the same unit heats on cold mornings. Hyper-heat models keep heating well below freezing.

Where does the outdoor unit go?

Usually on a pad beside the garage or on a wall bracket. The refrigerant lines run through one small hole in the wall and can be covered with line hide so the outside looks finished.

Do you pull the permit?

Yes. TruFicient Energy Solutions is the licensed installer on every job and handles the city permit and inspection.
